Doctrinal Statement

1) We believe that there is One God who eternally exists in three persons ( The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit) and that Heis the Creator of all things.  (Gen.1:1-2:22; Ps. 2:7&8; Jn. 8:58, 10:30&38, 14:9; Acts 5:3&4; 1Cor.2:10-14, 3:16&17; 2Cor. 3:17&18; Phi. 2:5-8; Col. 1:13-17; 1Jn. 5:20)

2) We believe the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are divinely inspired (God-breathed) and infallible. That they speak with final authority in all areas of faith and life.  (Ps. 1:1&2, 119:105&160; Rom. 1:16; 1Cor. 2:6&7; 2Tim. 3:16&17; 2Pet. 3:15&16)

3) We believe that man was created in God’s image and that all mankind is guilty of sin and that due to this sin the existence of spiritual death (eternal separation in hell for those without Christ) and physical death (the end of this physical, temporary life) is a reality in every person’s life. (Gen. 1:26&27, 3:8-19; Rom. 3:9-18&23, 5:15&17)

4) We believe that due to God’s unconditional, sacrificial love for mankind Jesus was sent by the Father in order to give us a faultless example, proclaim His truth, and provide us with the only acceptable sacrifice to cover the sins of mankind and satisfy the holy wrath of God.  To do this Christ died, was buried, and rose again (the gospel of Jesus Christ).  (Ps. 32:1&2; Matt. 1:18-25; Mark 10:45,16:19; Lk. 1:26-38; Jn.3:16&17, 6:38-40, 7:16,28&29; Rom. 3:24, 6:23, 8:3, 10:9-13; 15:1-11, 1Cor. 11:1, 15:3-9; 2Cor. 5:18-21; Heb. 8:1-6; 1Pet. 2:21; 1 Jn. 2:1&2, 5:9&10)

5) We believe that salvation is only found by God’s unearned grace through faith in the biblical Christ and that the true believer stands secure in his/her salvation throughout his/her life.  (Lk. 5:20-25; Jn. 6:40,10:25-30, 11:25&26, 14:1-4; Acts 4:10-12; Eph. 2:8&9; Titus 3:5-7

6) We believe that the fullness of the  Holy Spirit is given to everyone who believes in  the biblical Christ at the point of faith in Him and the work that He did for us through the cross and that the main activities of the Holy Spirit are the conviction of sin, the empowerment of the believer in truth and righteousness, the impartation of gifts to believers in order to be used in the church wherever God desires for the edification of the body of Christ, the intercession for the believer in prayer, and the sealing of the believer with the pledge of his/her future inheritance.  (Jn. 14:16,17&26, 15:26&27, 16:8,13&14; Rom. 8:10&11, 26&27; 1Cor. 12:7-10; 2Cor.1:22; Eph. 1:13&14; Titus 3:5&6; 1Pet. 1:1&2)

7) We believe that the church is the body of Christ and that it is composed of every believer who has put their faith in the true and living Christ and that its main purpose is to proclaim the living Christ, to provide a Living Hope, and to produce living disciples.  (Matt. 6:13-18, 28:16-20; Acts 2:37-47, 4:32-37; 1Cor.11:17-33, 12:12-27, 14:26; Eph. 4:11-16, 5:23-30)

8) We believe that before God establishes His eternal kingdom on earth there will be a pre-tribulation return of Christ to gather the living and the dead in Christ to Himself, a pre-millennial judgment, and an establishment of the eternal kingdom on earth.  (Dan. 2:44-45, 7:23-27; 1Cor.15:20-58; 1Thess. 5:1-10; 2Thess. 1:6-10; Rev. 1-22)
