The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the Power of God for salvation. It is not just a salvation message it is also Consecration and Sanctification as we grow into maturity it is an impossibility apart from the Good News of Christ Himself: the Hope of Glory. Him we preach, warning every man, teaching every man in all wisdom that we might present every man perfect (spiritually mature) in Christ Jesus. To this end we labor striving according to His working which works in us mightily. Colossians 1:28,29

Theology 701 – 2019 Soteriology – Lesson 6

Lesson 6 – The Fourth Letter in the TULIP acronym: Irresistible Grace.

019-48 “The Rest of the Story” Psalm 37:1-40

019-48 “The Rest of the Story” – (Psalm 37:1-40) In this Psalm of David, Pastor Peter shares from David’s heart, his counsel, his caution, his confidence and his conclusion specifically on the matter of what appears to be the unrighteous and wicked prospering while the godly tragically suffer. David challenges the believer to not lose heart or become exasperated when it appears the powers of evil and darkness are winning and the forces of light are losing, and losing badly. We are called to trust the Lord, He will have the last word. We are to believe in the REST of the story and trust God in Christ to set everything that is wrong and evil right.

01947 “A Fearful Warning for the Reprobate” (In Light of God’s Goodness) Psalm 36:1-12

01947 “A Fearful Warning for the Reprobate” (In the Light of God’s Goodness) Psalm 36:1-12. Pastor Pete unwraps David’s contrast between the wicked in verses 1-4, the gracious invitation of God in verses 5-10, the fervent prayer of the saved in verse 11, and the tragic end of the lost in verse 12. If you are not sure of your salvation this Psalm will help you to see yourself as God sees you and for the lost to see God for who He really is. Bring it Home as you Listen for LIFE!

Theology 701 – 2019 Soteriology – Lesson 5 – Limited Atonement

In this fifth lesson on Soteriology, the Doctrine of Salvation, we will be looking at the third letter in TULIP – Limited Atonement. This Doctrine is a hard pill to swallow. We will do our best to try and unwrap the doctrine of limited atonement.

Theology 701 – 2019 The Doctrine of Salvation – Lesson 4 Completion

We complete Lesson 4 on the Doctrine of Election and Predestination.

01945 H.E.L.P.! (The Power of the Gospel Always Comes to the Rescue) Psalm 35: Selected Scriptures

01945 “H.E.L.P.!” (The Power of the Gospel Always Comes to the Rescue) Psalm 35: Selected Scriptures. In this psalm of David Pastor Pete unpacks the HELP acronym: H = Heaven’s Appeal for Rescue, verses 1-3; E = Enemies Chased Like Chaff Before the Wind, verses 4-10; L = Living Life in the Face of Lions, verses 11-18; P = Praise for Vindication in Christ’s Resurrection, verses 19-28. Selected Scriptures will parallel the Life, Death, Burial and Resurrection of Christ in Mark’s Gospel 14:32-16:8. Bring it Home as you Listen for LIFE!

Theology 701 – 2019 The Doctrine of Salvation – Continuation of Lesson 4 on Election

Completion of Lesson 3 on the Doctrine of Election. The second letter of TULIP (U) is Unconditional Election. We will continue our discussion on this very important and misunderstood doctrine within Holy Scripture.

01944 “An Attitude of Gratitude” (The Highest Point of All Worship) Psalm 34

019-44 “An Attitude of Gratitude” (The Highest Point of All Worship) Psalm 34: King David is the author of this Psalm and the occasion is when he pretended madness before Achish in I Samuel 21:and 22: As believers we tend to minimize the essential importance of wholehearted worship. What is the reservoir or wellspring from which you draw from? It should come from a heart of thanksgiving and gratitude for all God has done in your life. Bring it Home as you Listen for LIFE!

Look and Live! Numbers 21:4-9

His dying breath has brought us life. Look to the lifted Christ. Look and live! Look and be healed! Look and be healed and set free from every sin, our thirst quenched and battles begin to be won

Escaping Our Enemies Exodus 14

Friend, while Jesus was on the cross with His arms stretched out and nailed there, He was holding back the Red Sea of sin sheding His blood that you might go through on dry ground free from the enemy, free from sins slavery.
