“A Life Worth Living”
I wish you could have known her: Frances Ellouise Bowers. She is the inspiration behind this Sunday’s message. She passed away in the local Kingman Hospice House a week before Christmas. Her life was one lived well for the glory of God. A gracious, loving beautiful lady who adored her husband, her children and her ministry to the churches. Both Fran and Andy were church builders for the South West Conservative Baptist Association. They gave their lives to remodeling or building from scratch not just SWCBA churches but any Bible believing, Christ exalting church that needed a hand. This message is her legacy, taken from her Bible it was the message preached on December 28th at 10:00 am. In the message Pastor Pete took from Fran’s Bible these five points: 1.) Your daily diet: What are you feeding your life with? 2.) Your Weekly Worship: What do you live for and worship the most? 3.) Your Monthly heart check-up: What do you love the most? 4.) Your yearly plans and commitments: What do you value the most, and lastly, 5.) Your living legacy: What will you leave behind? This was a quote in her Bible: “Father God, give me an obedient heart and wisdom. Thank you!” – Fran. Listen for LIFE!
“ONE DAY!”
Every year, at this same time of the year, as we focus on the reason and meaning of the season of Christ in Christmas we ask ourselves the question why is it so essential to keep Christ in Christmas? This week’s message unwraps the gift of Christ deity wrapped in the flesh of humanity. The great hymn of the faith “ONE DAY” will be the backdrop for a theological overview of Christ’s life, death, burial and resurrection. The gospel good news is all here within the lyrics of this great hymn of the faith. The refrain alone tells the story of the Gospel message of Christmas: “Living He loved me, Dying He saved me, Buried He carried my sins far away, Rising He justified freely forever, One day He’s coming, O glorious day!” The scriptural setting for this message is found in Romans 8:18-39. “What Is That In Your Hand?” Missions Sunday Thailand 2013
Pastor Aaron over the last two messages in Exodus spoke of Moses burning bush call from God. The bottom line was this: God expects you to not just hear the call but respond in faith to it. In this brief devotional, from the 2013 Thailand Serve the Servers Report, Pastor Pete shares from Exodus 4:1-4 and a brief portion from Exodus 14: Essentially the call of God on Moses and on our lives today is the same. He expects us to use what He has sovereignly and providentially given us for His glory. Any response other than a resounding YES is unbelief and grieves the Holy Spirit of God. There is nothing quite so tragic than to see a grown man or woman who have wasted their lives and their potential on meaningless and worthless pursuits. Potential is worthless if it isn’t used for God’s glory. By faith, take what is already in your hand (POTENTIAL), throw it down (PROMISE), pick it up (FAITH) and throw it out (POWER) for God’s glory. A Burning Bush Experience – Part Two
What’s your excuse? Last time I met with you we talked about the importance of turning aside and allowing God to reveal Himself to us. Up to this point in their conversation God was giving Moses a brief theology lesson on Who He is and Moses was probably feeling pretty on board with the whole thing. Then it happened. God dared to call Moses out and include him in His plans. This cognitive/intellectual exercise forced it way out of the world of words and thoughts and into Moses’ physical/actual life. Just like us Moses was challenged to make a decision that would alter the course of the rest of his life. Eventually He goes all in but not without a discussion that was empowered by fear and bathed in doubt. Have you ever been there? If you’re anything like the rest of us you have. Let’s ponder some of the responses that God has to our excuses.
Surprised By Hell
This Sunday we will be discussing Luke 16:19-31 – The Rich Man and Lazarus. This biblical passage will be considered verse by verse while answering pressing questions such as: What is Hell like? Is Hell eternal? Why did the rich man go to Hell but the poor man, Lazarus, did not? Will you or your loved ones go to Hell? Satan’s lie has been around since the deception of mankind (Genesis 3). This message is both informative and applicable as it focuses upon extracting God’s Truth and how mankind should react to this marvelous revelation

A Burning Bush Experience
When and/or where does God show up in your life? This study will show us that sometimes God shows up in some of the most unexpected places through some of the most mysterious ways. In this first part of a three part series that deals with the call of Moses entitled A Burning Bush Experience we not only consider God’s amazing presence but also our willingness to recognize it and allow Him to be revealed through it. In the midst of Moses’ forty year normalcy God appeared and Moses saw Him. Does this scenario play out for us? A hint; it isn’t because God doesn’t show up

The zenith of the Christian faith is wrapped up in swaddling cloths, lying in a humble manger, destined to die a cruel death on a humble cross. From the cradle to the cross Jesus is the Word of God made flesh. The cross is where heaven and earth met to deal once for all with the problem of man’s sin. Jesus took upon Himself the full wrath of God for the sin of man. God’s anger was propitiated (satisfied). The full payment for sin was paid to the Father in the death of the Son. This Resurrection Sunday we will be led from the cradle to the cross to the crown. We will see Jesus the Baby, Jesus the Child, Jesus the Man, Jesus the Savior, Jesus the Risen Lord. Come, Listen for LIFE!
